Being one of the first English Language Schools in Malta, am Language Studio has a history for offering quality English Language courses and customer satisfaction. Established in 1987 AM Language studio is a founder member of FELTOM (Federation of English Language Teaching Organizations of Malta), the association for quality English Language schools in Malta. AM Language Studio is licensed by the Ministry of Education in Malta. All teachers at the school are certified by the Ministry of Education. You can start studing at any level. There are around 15 students in groups, depending on the season. You can choose General english, Intensive, Individual lessons, Business english and prepare for IELTS, TOEFL exames.

Important Notes

Placement test is to be completed and sent to school prior to arrival. Failure to return the test will mean completing the test on your first day at school resulting in the possible loss of your first 4 lessons at your own expense.
All beginners must verify course dates for availability as soon as your level is known.
Bookings should be made in advance. Courses start every Monday. Sessions are of 45 minutes duration. Certificates of attendence are issued at the end of the course.

Accommodation

1Shared Apartments

Students booking a shared apartment must book an arrival taxi transfer. This will ensure that you are met at the airport by a school taxi driver and taken directly to your apartment where one of school representatives will welcome you, hand over the keys and show you the apartment.
Students taking this accommodation option must leave a 150 Euro deposit per person on their arrival, but no later than Wednesday on the same week. . The deposit is to be returned to a student on their last day of school providing there are no damages made to the apartment.
Check out time is at latest 12:00 and check in time is no earlier than 14.00 on the day of arrival. For any students arriving in Malta before 14:00 on the respective day of arrival, the apartment needs to be booked from the night before. Similarly for any persons departing after 12:00 on the day of departure, apartment needs to be booked for the following night.
Electricity and water meter readings will be taken every week and charges will be divided between the number of students sharing the apartment. For those apartments equipped with gas cylinders, these will be also charged on their weekly bill. Bills are to be paid every Friday in cash, failure to do so will result in eviction from the apartment.
Shared rooms can be triple or twins.

Suite apartments have the following facilities:

A study table per person

3Homestay

Students will receive a Host Family Profile of their host family when their application is confirmed by the letter of acceptance. Family homes are not hotels and living with a family is, at times, a delicate thing. Bear in mind that you will be entering a family’s home and that you will have to integrate into their way of life.

Choose this option if you are open-minded, fun-loving and ready to learn about Maltese customs and traditions. It is an ideal choice for students wanting to practice their English and experience living in Malta at an affordable price.

Important Notes

Halal diet is not offered in homestay accommodation – students wishing to follow a halal diet whilst in Malta are suggested to stay in a self catering shared apartment.
Students choosing Executive Host Family will be placed in a room, with their own bathroom. The student will be the only student in the family, unless specifically requested and the student will be provided with Internet Access.
