Berlitz/English Language Academy Malta

Berlitz/English Language Academy Malta is located in Gzira, close to the waterfront and a beautiful marina with yachts and boats. The Berlitz Method was created more than a century ago by Maximilian Berlitz and consists in learning English through communication. The teachers use the dialogue method at school and focus on practical english grammar and vocabulary. You are able to prepare and pass IELTS and TOEFL exams at school, there are equipped classrooms with computers there.

Courses:

General English 20 lessons per week, max number of students in class − 15
Group Intensive General English 30 lessons per week, max number of students in class − 15
Mini group General English or Business English 20 lessons per week, max number of students in class − 5
Private Lessons 20 lessons per week, max number of students in class − 1

Important Notes

If number of students in the group is less than or equal to 5 then lessons will be reduced to 2 per day (to 4 per day in case of Intensive Course).
Complete beginners should enroll for a Semi-Private or Private Course.
The school uses its own training materials developed according to the Berlitz method, which are included in the course fee.
Lessons can be held morning or afternoon depending on availability
Students are issued a student discount card,which entitles them to receive discounts in many shops, restaurants, bars and beach clubs.

Accommodation

1Berlitz Residence − Dragonara Court***

Students must be 18 or over and will share with the same sex. Residence is always subject to availability.

The Dragonara Court is a 3 star classification consisting of 30 units in one building on the main road of lively Paceville, and situated on top floor of the Berlitz Language Centre. Accommodation: the residence has studios for two, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with a shared bathroom and kitchen.

Private room in an apartment: All beds are suitable for adults. Shared bathroom with hand held shower, toilet and mostly with balcony. Kitchenette with tow electric rings oven/grill and refrigerator. Safety deposit box (subject to deposit), ceiling fan and electric heater.

Sharing room in an apartment: same as Private room with the addition of a second bedroom. The guest shares the room and the apartment. Bathroom shared.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner (if booked) are served at the St George's Park Hotel across the road. If arriving after 16.00 during week days and anytime during weekends kindly collect your key from the Blue Sea St George's Park reception

2Homestay

Host Family accommodation is available to students of all ages however we recommend this type of accommodation for students who are under 18 years of age. Staying with a family is not the same like staying at a hotel - so students must respect the family's way of life.

Upon confirmation Berlitz Malta will send you a profile of your host family and you are free to contact them in advance.

All host families are located a bus-ride away from the school and offer bed and breakfast or half board accommodation. Single rooms are not always available so please contact us with your inquiry.
